Community rules & forum privacy

Last updated 16 September 2026. This forum is for useful, respectful conversations about payments and small business.

Share experience responsibly

  • Be specific and truthful. Distinguish first-hand experience, opinion and claims that need a source.
  • Disclose employment, sales, referral or other commercial interests. Do not impersonate providers or staff.
  • No spam, harassment, discriminatory abuse, scams or repeated promotional posts. Provider criticism is welcome when it follows these same rules.
  • Do not publish card numbers, bank details, merchant IDs, customer data, passwords, API keys, ID documents or confidential employer information.
  • Use verified, dated sources for factual claims. Do not promise guaranteed savings, funding, employment or provider outcomes.

Moderation and reporting

Member submissions are reviewed before they become public. The host may reject or remove posts that break these rules. Visitors can report a post using its report button. For an urgent privacy issue or a moderation appeal, use the contact details in our privacy notice. This is not an emergency support channel.

Your public profile and posts

Your chosen display name, disclosed affiliation, post content and publication date are public when approved and may appear in search engines. Guest posting needs no account or email. A necessary, signed browser cookie lets you manage guest posts for 30 days. Optional email accounts use a verified email link and a secure session cookie so you can manage posts across devices. Your email is never displayed on posts.

We store submissions, moderation status and reports to operate the forum and prevent abuse. Posts remain until removed by you or the moderator. Delete your content through My posts; a minimal moderation record may remain to prevent abuse. Search engines and third-party copies may take longer to update. For access or deletion requests concerning account identifiers or reports, use our privacy notice.

Optional business details and email preferences

Business sector, provider and purchase timeframe are optional and private to you and the site administrator. They help Awais understand stated payment needs and prioritise requested help. We do not infer hidden personal characteristics from browsing. Requesting help and consenting to marketing are separate choices; neither is required to post, create an account or receive the free ebook.

Marketing email consent is confirmed through an email link and recorded with its wording, time and source. You can withdraw in your account, through My posts or through the unsubscribe link in an email. A suppression record is retained to respect opt-outs. Account deletion removes the private profile and anonymises published posts; remove post content through My posts first if you want it deleted.

The ebook request stores the email and optional details you provide, confirms email ownership, and gives you access to the PDF. It creates a forum account only if you choose that option. Your contact information is not sold or automatically added to an outbound campaign.

Jobs, funding and provider discussions

State the employer, location, role, pay structure and application route in job posts, and disclose recruiting or referral interests. Funding discussions are general information, not personalised financial advice. Check terms with the provider and obtain qualified advice where needed.

Provider boards are not official customer support channels. Cardsmachines is hosted by Awais Amir, a Payment Consultant working with takepayments / Global Payments. Commercial offers through this site are made through that role; the site does not compare the whole market. Contributions do not establish a provider affiliation or endorsement.

The site’s terms and privacy and cookie notice also apply.
