01

Choose the functions you will use

For straightforward in-person payments, consider takepaymentsplus (TP+) on the PAX A920 Pro. It combines a touchscreen terminal and receipt printer with product categories and transaction reporting. If you need a till with stock and sales tools, discuss a Worldpay 360 POS bundle and the functions included in that proposal.

02

Match payments to your customers

Genius mobile pay lets a compatible Android phone accept contactless payments. Payment links let customers pay remotely from a message or email, without you needing a website. These can serve different needs within one business; confirm the account setup, charges and receipt options for each service you choose.

03

Ask for a complete quote

Share your business activity, card turnover and average payment size. Estimates are fine when you are starting out. Compare processing rates, any pence charges, equipment or software costs, minimum charges and the contract term. Confirm connectivity, installation and any required till integration before deciding. Product availability and acceptance depend on your business and the provider terms.

Common questions

Do I need a full POS system?

A terminal may be enough when you just need to enter an amount and take payment. Consider Worldpay 360 if you also need till and stock functions.

Can I use my existing phone?

Possibly. Genius mobile pay requires a compatible Android device running Android 9 or later, with NFC and internet access. Your merchant account must be set up first.

Do I need a website for payment links?

No. You can send a payment link through a message or email, and the customer completes payment on the hosted payment page.

Can a new business request a quote?

Yes. Use expected card sales and your typical payment amount. The quote enquiry starts a discussion; the provider will confirm the application requirements and whether it can accept your business.
